After a few days of discussion, we finally decided to Mussorie which is a beautiful hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand. But we were bothering about the pain of booking the flights and hotels at the last minute. It is situated in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range.
How to visit Mussoorie from Chennai?
As I am basically located in Chennai, I found it easier to reach Mussoorie by taking a flight to Delhi. If you are not located near an airport, you should include your plan to reach your nearby airport. Forget visiting by train from Chennai especially if you have children. Going by a flight can make your journey more convenient and easy.
1. Reach Chennai airport.
2. Take a flight to Delhi.
3. Book a car or van based on the number of people to reach and explore Mussoorie.
4. Come back to Delhi.
5. Take a flight to Chennai to reach Chennai airport.
6. Come back home.
Although it looks simple to visit Mussoorie, it is not that easy in reality.
We went by Indigo Airlines. Please check the Flight Schedule carefully and book according to your convenience.
Please send enough time to book flight tickets and hotel rooms. Please make sure that you have a print out of the bookings. It is good as you might not be able to charge your mobile phones frequently if you are busy in exploring the place.
